Dr. Edward Sazonov, Founder
Dr. Sazonov received the Diploma of Systems Engineer from Khabarovsk State University of Technology, Russia, in 1993 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, in 2002. Currently he is an Associate Professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. His research interests focus on the area of ambient intelligent systems, including sensor network applications in bioengineering and structural health monitoring, self-powered devices and energy harvesting, and ambient and wearable intelligent devices.
Nagaraj Hegde, MSEE, Engineering
Nagaraj is a graduate student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore and worked at Analog Devices, Inc., as an Embedded DSP Applications Engineer prior to becoming Research Assistant at the Computer Laboratory of Ambient and Wearable Systems (CLAWS). His expertise lies in the embedded software and hardware design.
Muhammad Farooq, MSEE, Engineering
Muhammad is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. He received his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Peshawar, Pakistan. Prior to arriving at UA, he worked as a Research Engineer for six months in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Universiti Teknologi Pestronas (UTP) in Malaysia. His research interests include robotics, computer vision, and biomedical signal processing.
